4th Grade Homework



Homework is used as a way to reinforce and improve what was taught in class. It is very  important and needs to be turned in on time. Homework will be assigned on Friday and will need to be returned the following Friday. 

Week of 8/19-8/23: Understanding Place Value 

Math: Log into Pearson Realize and Complete Lessons 1:1-1:5( you may print out the assignment or you may complete it online)

Week of 8/26-8/30: Understanding Place Value

Math:   Log into Pearson Realize and Complete the Online Assessment( once you are complete, I will see the grade) THERE WILL BE A TEST ON TUESDAY(8/27)! Please review the following concepts: Identifying Place Value through One Million, Comparing Numbers-Greater Than Less Than or Equal To, and Rounding Numbers 

Week of 9/2-9/6

There is no school on Monday, and with the possibility of Dorian hitting, there is no homework. I ask that all families be safe!

Week of 9/9-9/13 Interpreting Multiplication and Division 

Math: Students will be given a packet with 4 worksheets on Monday, Sept.8th,2019 and is due on Friday, Sept.13th. This packet will focus on multiplication facts and using addition to help solve multiplication facts.

Week of 9/16-9/20 Interpreting Multiplication and Division 

Math: We are continuing to work on multiplication and division, PLEASE REVIEW MULTIPLICATION FACTS TO 12! For homework, they are to complete Additional Practice Pages 77-84. It will go home today and be due on Next Friday!

Week of 9/23-9/27 Interpreting Multiplication and Division 

Math: We are continuing to work on multiplication and division, PLEASE REVIEW MULTIPLICATION FACTS TO 12! For homework, they are to complete Additional Practice Pages 27-28,31-39. It will go home today and be due on Next Friday! THERE WILL BE A TEST ON MONDAY(Please review number operations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing)

Science: Please bring in a 24 oz. soda bottle on Monday(9/23) for our “Science Experiment.

Week of 9/30-10/4 Interpreting Multiplication and Division 

Math: We are continuing to work on multiplication and division, PLEASE REVIEW MULTIPLICATION FACTS TO 12! For homework, they are to complete Additional Practice Pages 43-52. It will go home today and be due on Next Friday! THERE WILL BE A TEST ON MONDAY(Please review number operations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing)

Week of 10/7-10/11 Interpreting Multiplication and Division 

Math: We are continuing to work on multiplication and division, PLEASE REVIEW MULTIPLICATION FACTS TO 12! For homework, they are to complete Additional Practice Pages 43-52. It will go home today and be due on Next Friday! THERE WILL BE A TEST ON Wednesday 10/9(Please review number operations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing)

Science/Health:  Students will be bringing home “life-size” skeletons. These are for them to learn and understand the bones of the body! They must have the placement and the names of the bones memorized for a QUIZ ON 10/9!

Week of 10/21-10/25 –  Interpreting Multiplication and Division/ Operations to Solve Problems

Math:  We are continuing to work on multiplication and division, PLEASE REVIEW MULTIPLICATION FACTS TO 12! For homework, they are to complete Additional Practice Pages 61-74. The assignment went home on yesterday and will be due on Friday!

Science: We are beginning Forms of Energy; please stand by for the necessary materials for our Forms Of Energy Experiment!

Week of 11/4-11/8 –  Understanding Factors, Multiples, Primes and Composites. 

Math:  We are working on understanding the meaning of factors, multiples , and prime & composite numbers. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT STUDENTS KNOW THEIR MULTIPLICATION FACTS! PLEASE STUDY DAILY!THERE IS A TEST ON TUESDAY, 11/5 ! This test will cover multiples, factors, prime and composite numbers!  Homework for this week is additional practice pgs. 91,95,and 97, which is due on Friday ,11/8!

Week of 11/11-11/15 Understanding Fractions and Equivalence 

Math We are working on understanding the meaning of equivalent fractions, and how to order and compare them. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT STUDENTS KNOW THEIR MULTIPLICATION and Division facts! Please study daily!Homework for this week is additional practice pgs. 103,105,AND 109 which is due on Friday, 11/15!

Week of 11/18-11/23 Understanding Addition and Subtraction of Fractions 

Math We are working on understanding how to add and subtract fractions. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT STUDENTS KNOW THEIR MULTIPLICATION and Division facts! Please study daily!Homework for this week is additional practice pgs.  which is due on Friday, 11/23!

THERE IS A TEST ON TUESDAY, 11/19 on Equivalent Fractions! 

Health: Students have their digestive system test on Wednesday! (They will label the organs of this system)
